The Egyptian authorities imposed on Saturday a travel ban on two daughters of late vice president Omar Suleiman, state-run news agency MENA reported.
Cairo International Airport authorities prevented two daughters of Suleiman from taking their scheduled flight to London, due to anti-graft authority`s decision to put them on a travel ban list.
Suleiman`s widow was allowed to travel, but she refused to go without the accompany of her two daughters.
In response to the turmoil in 2011, Mubarak appointed his longtime intelligence chief Suleiman as vice president on Jan. 29, 2011. A few days later, on Feb. 11, Suleiman was the one who announced Mubarak`s resignation.
Suleiman intended to run for last year`s presidential elections, but the election commission rejected his registration papers for legal reasons.
In July 2012, Suleiman died at a hospital in the United States at the age of 76.
