Egyptian bomb disposal experts use dogs as they check the area following a bomb blast in

Sappers have defused a bomb placed inside a mini truck in Nahda Square in Giza.

Police troops deployed in the Square stopped the mini truck, in which two persons were traveling, and searched it to find boxes full of books, an official at the media center said overnight Saturday.

One of the boxes contained a cylindrical object, the official added.

Police cordoned off the area and sappers were called in and examined the object, which contained explosive materials, he noted.

All legal measures will be taken, the official said.
