Egypt's Ministry of Health said that the death toll from a blast that occurred inside the Boutrosiya Church in Abbasiya earlier Sunday rose to 25, so far.

As many as 31 were injured by the deadly blast, the ministry added.

Over 14 ambulances rushed to the scene of the blast, the ministry noted, pointing out that the dead and injured were all taken to Dar el Shefaa and el Demerdash hospitals.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Ahmed Emad inquired after the injured at the hospital.
