Suez - Arab Today
A cargo train loaded with Mazut and heavy fuel jumped off rail tracks Wednesday evening near Suez, causing the leakage of petroleum materials in the desert area adjacent to the railroad.
Four fire engines rushed to the area to spray fire retardant foam on the leaked Mazut and the other petroleum substances as a precautionary measure.
The train, grouping six intremodal containers, was en route from Cairo to Suez.
It derailed shortly before reaching Suez train station.
