A senior security source Tuesday described as baseless reports on an explosion at a drinking water station in Monoufia governorate.

In a statement released by the Interior Ministry, the security official asserted that a partial leak in the Chlorine valve is the main reason behind the loud sound at the station site.

Two workers were injured and four people have suffered minor suffocation, he added.

The malfunction at the water plant was repaired.
