A motorcyclist lost his life early on Wednesday when a bomb in his possession went off on the main highway in Giza, a security source said.
The source told the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) that another person on board of the speeding motorcycle was wounded. The latter tried to flee the scene, but he was hurriedly nabbed by security personnel.
Forensic experts lifted remains of the explosion that littered the main road and caused traffic jam. However, the road was reopened shortly after the examination.
