A person was killed and eight others where injured when a tanker went on fire in Beheira, a security source said.

Sparks volatilized from a chainsaw at a maintenance workshop leading to an explosion of the tanker, the source added.

Two other cars were partly damaged, the source pointed out.

Civil protection forces rushed to the scene and managed to control the fire, the source concluded.
