A police non-commissioned officer was killed early Tuesday in an armed attack in Sharqiya.

Armed men riding a motorbike opened fire at the 32-year policeman on his way to work and fled the scene.

Checkpoints were installed to bust the assailants.

Investigations are underway in the attack.
