Unidentified people, riding a car, threw a locally-made sound bomb near the security services outside Mohamed Ali Palace in Maniyal, a security source said.
In exclusive statements to MENA on Saturday, the source added that the explosion caused no damage or injuries.
The source added that all security checkpoints in Cairo and Giza were notified about the car descriptions in order to be seized.
