Algiers - MENA
Algeria plans to reopen its borders with war-torn Libya in the coming few days, said local media on Monday.
Technical preparations have been taken to end the year-and-half border closure, said Al-Khabr newspaper, citing a well-placed source.
There are three crossings between both countries.
According to a lawmaker, the decision comes to ease the dire humanitarian conditions in Libyan cities near the border with Algeria.
The border was closed in May, 2013.
