The Algerian national popular army forces discovered Thursday, during a search operation, nine bunkers containing bombs, explosives and chemicals in Tizi Ouzou and Skikda, local media reported on Friday.

The casemates and their contents were destroyed at the scene, said Friday a press release from the ministry of National Defense.

Also, a military detachment under the operational sector of Skikda/ 5th Military Region discovered during a search operation in the locality of Ain Laksar, a bunker containing handcrafted bombs that were destroyed on place.
