Algerian forces killed 25 militants in Boumerdès, north of Algiers, and seized large numbers of weapons, read a statement by the Algerian defense ministry.

In a counter-insurgency sweep, an RPG-7, Kalashnikov rifles, rocket launchers and homemade bombs were recovered, the ministry said on Wednesday.
