China's 5.0-magnitude quake

11 people were injured when a 5.0 magnitude earthquake hit southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday, state-owned Xinhua News Agency reported.
The quake struck Leshan City at 1:21 p.m. (GMT 0521), with the epicenter at a depth of 14 km, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.
About 11,000 people were affected with more than 2,000 houses were damaged, according to the report. Traffic and telecommunications in the quake zone have been restored to normal.
Tremors were also felt in many other parts of Sichuan, including the provincial capital of Chengdu. Sichuan Province was hit by a magnitude-8.0 quake in May 2008 that left almost 90,000 people dead or missing.
