An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit the border area between the city of Jiujiang in Jiangxi province and the city of Huangshi in Hubei province at 11:20 p.m. Beijing Time Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. The epicenter, with a depth of 17 km, was initially determined to be at 29.7 degrees north latitude and 115.4 degrees east longitude, Xinhua reported.
