An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 136km NE of Hirara, Japan at 02:35:46 Hong Kong Time on Sunday (18:35:46 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 35.97 km, was initially determined to be at 25.6833 degrees north latitude and 126.2338 degrees east longtitude.
