An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 46 km north of Alaqahdari-ye Kiran wa Munjan, Afghanistan at 01:17:54 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 206.21 km, was initially determined to be at 36.4462 degrees north latitude and 70.7162 degrees east longtitude.
