An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 83 km southwest of Iquique, Chile early Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 15.36 km, was initially determined to be at 20.7642 degrees south latitude and 70.6935 degrees west longitude.
