An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 16km NW of Sing tam, India, on Thursday, the US Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 9.71 km, was initially determined to be at 27.3546 degrees north latitude and 88.404 degrees east longitude.
