An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted 76km WSW of Panguna, Papua New Guinea at 20:00:06 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 38.92 km, was initially determined to be at 6.6865 degrees south latitude and 154.9024 degrees east longitude.
