An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted near the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 04:06:14 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 36.02 km, was initially determined to be at 35.621 degrees north latitude and 140.6862 degrees east longtitude.
