An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted 295km N of Bamboo Flat, India at 17:57:39 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 35.7 km, was initially determined to be at 14.3351 degrees north latitude and 93.1372 degrees east longtitude.
