An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Halmahera, Indonesia at 16:47:27 Hong Kong Time (08:47:27 GMT) on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 63.46 km, was initially determined to be at 2.6905 degrees north latitude and 128.3747 degrees east longitude.
