An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted North of Ascension Island at 18:59:05 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 1.35 degrees south latitude and 15.1791 degrees west longtitude.
