An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted 92 km ESE of Kitaibaraki, Japan at 09:16: 45 GMT Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 26.41 km, was initially determined to be at 36.5148 degrees north latitude and 141.7249 degrees east longtitude.
