A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit the city of Atux in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Saturday.
Xinhua News Agency quoted the China Earthquake Networks Centre as saying that the quake struck at 2:50 p.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), with the epicenter detected at 40.2 degrees north and 77.3 degrees east at a focal depth of 10 km.
