An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 86km SSW of Chirovanga, Solomon Islands at 19:24:44 Hong Kong Time on Thursday (03:24:44 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 59.8 km, was initially determined to be at 7.3584 degrees south latitude and 156.2367 degrees east longitude.
