An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted West Chile Rise at 1752 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 8.77 km, was initially determined to be at 42.5436 degrees south latitude and 82.224 degrees west longitude.
