Mexico earthquake causes panic

The U.S. Geological Survey says a 5.1-magnitude earthquake has hit Mexico's southern state of Oaxaca, according to AP.

Mexican officials have not reported any damage or injuries.

The quake hit the Isthmus of Tehuantepec just before 11 a.m. local time (1554 GMT) on Sunday in a mountainous area about 14 miles (22 kilometers) northeast of the town of Niltepec. It had a depth of 60 miles (100 kilometers).
