An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Solomon Islands at 0342 Beijing Time on Wednesday (1942 GMT on Tuesday), the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 27.50 km, was initially determined to be at 9.7643 degrees south latitude and 159.7576 degrees east longitude.
