An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted southern Iran on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said. According to a report on the USGS website, the quake occurred at 8:26 p.m. local time (1656 GMT) on Wednesday. The epicenter, with a depth of 15.8 km, was initially determined to be at 29.338 degrees north latitude and 52.546 degrees east longitude, said the USGS.
