An earthquake hits Japan

An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 155 km S of Oyama, Japan, at 03:38:25 local time Thursday (18:38:25 GMT Wednesday), the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 311.63 km, was initially determined to be at 33.2029 degrees north latitude and 138.0967 degrees east longitude.
