An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Bougainville region, Papua New Guinea at 22: 25:50 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 505.00 km, was initially determined to be at 4.6515 degrees south latitude and 155.1991 degrees east longitude.
