An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted 122km N of L'Esperance Rock, New Zealand at 1031 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.3266 degrees south latitude and 178.9462 degrees west longitude.
