An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 2012-12-9 02:34:19 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 30.00 km, was initially determined to be at 37.7906 degrees north latitude and 143.5902 degrees east longitude.
