An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.6 jolted Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures Monday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
Occurring at a depth of about 50 kilometers off Fukushima, the quake registered 4 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale of 7 in central and coastal regions of Fukushima and southern Miyagi, Japan''s News Agency (Kyodo) said.
