An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Oct.5 at 00:19: 57 GMT on Fri (2012-10-5 08:19:57 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 10.00 km, was initially determined to be at 17.4964 degrees north latitude and 46.4609 degrees west longitude.
