An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted Southern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 19:30:30 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 46.0119 degrees south latitude and 13.8796 degrees west longitude.
