An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted 95km NNW of Farallon de Pajaros, Northern Mariana Islands at 02:01:25 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 38.13 km, was initially determined to be at 21.2801 degrees north latitude and 144.4297 degrees east longitude.
