An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted south of the Fiji Islands at 10:10:55 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 70.10 km, was initially determined to be at 19.6383 degrees south latitude and 175.0641 degrees east longitude.
