An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted 28km WSW of Kirakira, Solomon Islands at 11:40:32 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 63.77 km, was initially determined to be at 10.5303 degrees south latitude and 161.6719 degrees east longtitude.
