An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand at 05:16:18 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of 204.50 km, was initially determined to be at 36.1297 degrees south latitude and 178.0450 degrees east longitude.
