An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 82km NNW of Talcahuano, Chile at 18:27:28 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 36.0967 degrees south latitude and 73.6259 degrees west longitude.
