China Earthquake Networks Center

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit the sea area off New Taipei City of Taiwan at 1:23 p.m. Beijing Time on Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The CENC put the epicenter at 25.43 degrees north latitude and 122.41 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 239 kilometers, official Chinese media said.
