An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted 132 km NW of Kota Ternate, Indonesia at 22:12:29 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 53.0 km, was initially determined to be at 1.7 degrees north latitude and 126.6 degrees east longitude.
