An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale jolted 233 km southeast of Raoul Island, New Zealand on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 33.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.3 degrees south latitude and 175.8 degrees west longitude, the USGS said.
