An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale jolted India at 8:40 p.m. Beijing Time on Sunday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center. The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was detected to be at 27.7 degrees north latitude and 88.2 degrees east longitude.
