Police divers have made a major archeological find off the coast of Genoa by discovering a first-century Roman ship. The find is one of the most important in recent years, as the ship contained hundreds of intact amphorae containers. Some were found with food still inside. The ship was found near the town of Varazze by Carabinieri divers in waters about 100 meters deep. The search, conducted in collaboration with the Liguria Archaeological Superintendent\'s Department, began after fisherman discovered some pottery fragments.
