A cold spell will continue to sweep north China, bringing snow and rainfall over the weekend, China\'s meteorological authorities said Saturday. Temperatures are expected to further drop in central and eastern parts of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northern parts of north China and some of northeast China, falling by six to eight degrees Celsius, even 10 to 12 in some areas, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said. The cold front will bring snow and rainfall to the country\'s northern regions on Saturday and Sunday, and some parts of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces will see heavy snow, the NMC said. Strong northerly winds of level four to six will blow through most parts of Inner Mongolia and northeast China as well as eastern parts of Yellow River-Huai River region, the NMC said. Agrometeorological experts have warned citizens in the affected regions to guard against sharp temperature drop and consequent frozen road surface.
