An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale shook Nir, a northwestern border city in Iran, on Monday. Nir is a border city between the two provinces of Ardebil and East Azarbaijan. The quake was epicentered in an area located at 38.06 degrees latitude and 48.03 degrees longitude, (IRNA) news agency reported citing the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University. There is no report on any damage caused by the quake.
