An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted northwest Pakistan Tuesday night. The epicenter of the quake that hit Peshawar, Swat and Malakand district was in the mountains of Hindu Kush, according to meteorological department sources. The sources said there were no losses due to the earthquake when reports last came in from the affected regions.
